Welcome to Feldheim Publishers, a family-owned and operated publishing house since 1939. When Philipp Feldheim escaped the tragic horrors of the Holocaust and arrived in New York City, he established a modest bookstore on the Lower East Side. At that time, Jewish books were hard to come by, and the ones he obtained were eagerly purchased by customers thirsting for Torah literature. Mr. Feldheim recognized the growing need for authentic Hebraica and Judaica, and his small enterprise expanded to become Philipp Feldheim Inc., publishers of "Torah Literature of Quality."
The new company took an innovative turn as well. Mr. Feldheim sought to produce English translations of Hebrew texts, making them accessible to an English-speaking public. Alongside this important work, he also published high-quality texts of Jewish law, Jewish thought and philosophy; also books for young readers and novels for adults.
Since those early years, the Feldheim logo - a sturdy flame - has found its way into the hearts and homes of Jewish families the world over. From Hawaii to Hong Kong and points in between, Feldheim books are enjoyed, and new titles eagerly anticipated.
There truly is something for everyone at Feldheim Publishers. Happy Reading!
